With a new record number of exhibitors and international participation from 73 countries, Messe München draws an extremely positive conclusion to this year‘s transport logistic. More than 2,700 exhibitors presented their products and services at the world‘s largest trade fair for logistics, mobility, IT and supply chain management. Caroline Thiemt, Exhibition Director, and Robert Schönberger, Global Industry Lead for transport logistic, who are responsible for the trade fair, are very satisfied: „We received numerous late registrations in the last few days before the start of the fair, which we were very pleased about. This shows how dynamically the industry is developing,“ says Thiemt.

On the visitor side, too, there are many indications that the event was a success. The final number of guests will be announced by Messe München today (Thursday). Thiemt and Schönberger are particularly pleased that the quality and depth of the discussions were rated positively across the board. The newly established Monday also contributed to a more relaxed trade fair setup and will be retained in future. Thursday, with its focus on careers, recruitment and HR topics, also sends an important signal for the future of the industry.

A notable trend is that the trade fair is becoming increasingly international. Many exhibitors employ multilingual staff, which underlines the global networking of the logistics industry. ‘Especially in politically tense times, transport logistic is an example of how people from all parts of the world can work together peacefully and successfully. That is an encouraging sign,’ says Thiemt, who is visibly pleased.

The new ‘Exhibitor Stage’ format has proven its worth. For the first time, it offers companies an additional stage away from their own exhibition stands. A further development of the concept is planned for 2027. The content of the trade fair‘s conference programme also has its finger on the pulse of the industry. The three central topics are artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and sustainability. There is particularly strong interest in practical AI applications – a sign of the increasing relevance of digital solutions in logistics.

Schönberger is optimistic about the future: ‘Logistics remains an early indicator of economic developments. If we see a spirit of optimism here, that‘s a good sign for other industries.’ New ideas are already in the pipeline for the next transport logistic, which will take place from 26 to 29 April 2027.
